Re: What are you playing right now?
Lost Dimension (PC)--This is one of the weirdest games I've played. The game plays a bit like Sakura Wars or Valkyria Chronicles, but with its own twists to the system. It's a SRPG where you control characters manually on a 3D map. Each character has a skill tree similar to the ones in Etrian Odysse...

Re: Nintendo Direct Topic
I think this Direct was a literal disaster. It was supposed to be the Direct where they unveiled the online service. That service is a flop. The English trailer sits at roughly 6.4 likes and 21k dislikes at the moment. Nintendo is offering basically nothing other than the ability to play games onlin...

Re: Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate
I've been playing this. It's more like an expansion pack to Generations than a new game. Most of the game is identical to Generations. Unfortunately, my 3DS can't access the eshop and thus I was unable to transfer my data. This means I'm basically playing through Generations again as most of the leg...

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. Trying out valor style for some weapons I never really played before, such as gunlance and charge blade.

Yeah I was way off. I thought they would be conservative given they're bringing everybody back.

Re: What are you playing right now?
I finished Nioh. This is one of the best games I've ever played. In my opinion, it is the best game KOEI Tecmo has made. I've still been doing post-game stuff. There is an incredible amount of content in the post-game/dlc.

Re: What generation is retro in your eyes in 2018
PS1 and N64 just doesn't seem retro to me, maybe because there was a huge graphical jump at that time and 3D games became more prevalent.

Re: Octopath Traveler
I agree that this is an ideal game for the Switch. I would like to see more RPGs and non touch controlled rhythm games on the Switch in general. I'm pretty much the opposite of Kong. I prefer handheld gaming. That said, though, I think his assessment is spot on about the types of games that work bes...

Re: What are you playing right now?
I've been alternating between Ni-Oh and Evenicle mainly. Evenicle -This really isn't Alicesoft's best work. I judge games 90% by gameplay and 10% by story. The gameplay is a let down for me. It doesn't differ greatly from other generic turn based menu selection RPGs like Dragon Quest. It lacks both ...
