I'm still in area 3, been to the surface and faced a mini boss (looks like the 1st mini boss from Fusion). Still have to beat that mini boss, but haven't been able to play much last week.

My copy of the Special Edition (the mediocre NA one) came in the other day. Looking forward to playing this. Glad to hear you're all liking it.
Putting it off until I beat Persona 1, but it's a priority after that.

Have to correct myself. Just noticed the ingame area names. 1st area was "Surface" and 3rd area I'm still in now is "Area 2". Got to the sub area with the magmoor music theme where I have to face the next incarnation of the Metroid.
