I went ahead and went with Dead Island as I suddenly stumbled upon the trailer for Dead Island 2, which comes out at year-end. I downloaded RE7 as well just in case but I’ve got a lot of zombies to kill. I already had Layers of Fear 2 and Blair Witch installed but not sure if I’ll work on either or both of them or not. Dead Island isn’t really creepy so I’ll have to mix something else in to satiate my desire for fear.

I'm currently putting together a list of games to play for October. I think I'm going to get an analog-to-digital converter and stream some Halloween stuff all month. I'm thinking maybe Maximo 2 and Cotton Reboot. Should be fun! May try to schedule it or may just stream whenever I feel like it, we'll see! But the goal would be to stream every minute of whatever October game(s) I play.

I've got RE4 Wii disc ready to play on Wii U .. tried it a while ago and got run over by a rock. But I'm going to give it another go again, so I probably will be joining in this October Gaming event.

Thanks, buddy, I will! Ordered my A2D converter the other day. Fingers crossed it plays nicely with my capture card! If not, I may be SOL with retro stuff, but Cotton Reboot would still be on the table, and I could always play another Halloween backlog item like MediEvil 2 on PS3 so I can output through HDMI.

Since I'll probably be playing some 4:3 stuff, I'm gonna look into some SD stream layouts too. I'm sure there are some good free ones out there (hopefully!). I know you have some knowledge of that stuff in general, so if you want to point me at any of your favorite resources, I'm definitely interested, but I'm sure I can figure it out myself as well.

I feel like I'm the opposite of knowledgeable about that stuff, because I've only ever made my own layouts & overlays in Photoshop. I just make a background, take a 4:3 placeholder image and expand it to the size/position I'm going to want the game screen on my layout, and then design other elements around that. I don't have anything dynamic on there, but I do surface the latest follower/donor/subscriber etc. via StreamLabels.

Ah, damn, well more power to you, but I can't photoshop my way out of a paper bag, so I'll be looking for alternatives. I know I can always just pillarbox if necessary, but I'd just like to avoid that if possible. I'll come up with something!

Some random person joined my party in Dead Island. Was kind of fun. I’ve beaten the game before on PS3 but did it totally solo. It changes how you fight the hordes a little...I bet having a full party would be epic but I doubt I’ll get to be part of one of those.

I'm going to go ahead with Hades as my October game. There is also a chance I'll dip into the first Dead Rising, which I understand at least one person around here enjoys. I've never given it a proper shot.

I’ve been making pretty decent progress in Dead Island. But, with that game not being scary really, I think I’ll continue in Blair Witch starting tomorrow. I’ve got a concert tonight...
