Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Post by Kong Wen »

The hottest new MMO is coming from Nintendo to a handheld tablet thing with controllers near you.

(20 March 2020 on Nintendo Switch.)

Who's planning on getting Animal Crossing? Are we able to have big parties?

Already have it pre-loaded!

Parties can be up to 8 people online at once! Hopefully it's less intrusive than AC New Leaf. Everytime someone entered or left your town it was close to a 1 minute loading screen.

Really excited about how you can actually tear apart the land and make new land masses, rivers, cliffs, ect.

Once they sort out cloud saving/backing up i'll be buying it. No way I'm risking losing 500 hours of gameplay. Also Ori comes out on the 11th so that can keep me busy and is "free" on gamepass.

New Leaf got me hooked when I picked it up. Do I really want to lose myself all over again? (The answer is yes.)

Oh no, I think I might want this game. The only AC I ever played before was the Wii version, and I found it was a very relaxing routine. Just log in for like 10 minutes, chill on the beach, say hello to animals.

I wonder if I could get Mrs. K to play this one...

You can play same screen local multiplayer with this one, might work out well!

Animal Crossings Limited Edition Switch acquired! Lovely pastel mint colored green and blue joycons. Never touched the series before. Does it have any gameplay a 3 year old child could handle?

Animal crossing has a lot of reading! It does have a co op mode where your 3 year old might enjoy walking around with you, catching fish and whatnot.

That special edition Switch looks very nice though!

I've been playing lots. Like usual the game really restricts what you can do for the first few days, but it's been a good time. The nook miles stuff really gives you a reason to keep playing and do stuff you otherwise wouldn't.
