Playing Older Consoles on an HDTV

Post by Kreegs »

Hello!

Do any of you play classic consoles on an HDTV with a signal converter? I am playing the 64 with the standard red, white, and yellow outs, but I hear there are some ways to convert it to an HDMI cable or even the component cable with the extra colors. There is a slight lag with my 64 as it sits now, and I am looking to get rid of that. Any help would be appreciated!
I intend to live forever, or die trying

The My Life in Gaming guys from Backloggery have gone full videophile on their old games:

They also have a newer video where they reviewed a bunch of alternatives to this, including some cheaper hardware and some open-source kits that people are still developing for. Could be worth looking into if you're serious about continuing your N64 gaming on the big-screen.
