I don't think Australia ever had availability issues which surprised me.

Xenoblade 2 hasn't been discussed much. My impressions:

-The first 7-15 hours suck really badly. The game is linear, the battles are boring and shallow, the plot seems too cliche and full of bad tropes.

-By the end of chapter 3 the game really gets good. The plot takes some dramatic twists, more aspects of the battle system become available and tons of quests show up.

-The system for acquiring new blades is pretty much a gacha. You may like that or hate it. I like it personally.

I'm nearing the end of chapter 4 at the moment and so far I'm loving it.

That's in line with what I've heard, takes some time to really get going. I'm planning on picking it up around Christmas.

How does it look in handheld? I've heard it's a bit blurry, can drop to around 350p at times.

Not good, but it runs alright most of the time. I play it mostly in portable mode. It looks a lot better on TV.

New Zelda game in development. I...still haven't touched Breath of the Wild even though I bought it with my Switch. It's on my to do list.

Colours are fun. The pink and green really pop, even better in person.

The Switch has been out for, what, 10 months?

It has now surpassed the total lifetime sales of the Wii U in Japan. It won't be long before it does the same thing worldwide.

About that yeah. I suspect it's around a million away from passing over the Wii u.

It's also apparently the fasting selling console ever in the US. Outpacing ps2 in Japan, but not sure if that means it's the fastest overall.

Despite the headlines I don't think switch will be the best selling console of all time or anything like that. I Think it will end up behind the PS4. But I'm also expecting it to have around a 5 year shelf life. I think we've already moved away from the 8 year cycle.
