Splatoon 2

Post by Kreegs »

I figured we needed a place to discuss this game. My copy just arrived today, and hopefully I can find some time to squeeze in some playing around the baby. The box looks cool at least, and most sites are giving it good reviews!

Just came here to make a thread, hype! I'm all ready for a day of splatoon

Image

Played for a few hours now, I'm about level 6 I believe. I feel bad playing with all these new players, you can tell when one team is made up of all rookies. At level 6 now I can tell I'm meeting up with more experienced players. Splat Dualies are great, still loving the slosher, and getting some good use out of the blaster.

I played Salmon Run a few times, it's a nice additional mode to have for variety. It can get pretty intense. It chooses your load out for you, and switches it up on you throughout the session, which is actually neat and keeps you on your feet, but I'm never a fan of getting the charger (sniper).

Haven't really touched the single player or ranked yet, but it's good old Splatoon so far.

Definitely get a game going Kreegs, I wouldn't mind doing some Salmon Run.

Game feels great in handheld mode! On the TV I keep the aiming sensitivity on +1.5, but for handheld I'm liking +5 (max), so I can make smaller motions.

Also, I'm surprised how well the joy con grip feels with this game.

Played some standard online with Shoe. I still love this IP. So addicting! Back to using a roller.

I'm really liking the carbon roller this time around. The regular roller I find to be a bit slow, but the carbon is a great speed for laying down lots of ink. It's not as strong, but at close range it can still splat in one shot. A great surprise weapon. I also find ink storm to be a great way to put pressure on the enemy.

Been using the carbon roller too. I like it. I also do well with the NES Zapper. This is such a fun game. If you have a Switch, it is almost a must have IMO.
