Movies you're looking forward to?

This is a thread to discuss upcoming movies before we actually see them. Head on over to the other thread after you've seen a movie and want to talk about it.

Are there any upcoming movies you're excited about seeing, or current movies you haven't had a chance to check out yet?

I just missed out on two free tickets to see Bo Burnham's Eighth Grade, which is getting a lot of acclaim on the festival circuit right now. I'll have to check it out if it gets a wide enough release to include my small city.

I'm also looking forward to checking out Boots Riley's Sorry to Bother You. It looks like a great surreal thing, and Tessa Thompson. <3

I think Won't You Be My Neighbour actually is playing here right now, so I'll have to check that out before it quickly disappears.

Finally, in August, I'm absolutely pumped to see Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman. Denzel's son is the lead, Adam Driver <3 looks great, and Topher Motherfucking Grace plays an evil white supremacist.

I don't think I'm a big enough fan of movies, or movie watching, to really be excited about upcoming movies. Within the last couple years I have become sucked into the marvel universe, so I am looking forward to Infinity War part 2

Kind of cheating, but I'm looking forward to Into the Spider-Verse coming out on Blu-Ray. :) I'm getting a copy for my birthday and watching it with Mrs. K right away (she prefers Twilight Cinemas to going out to the commercial cinemas here).

Police Story and Police Story 2 are getting a Criterion Collection release on 30 April. Pretty pumped about that. I'll finally chuck Yojimbo and Sanjuro into a cart with it.

I re-watched Police Story just recently. Haven't watched 2 in a long time, but Ithink I remember Maggie Cheung jumping on top of a wagon of a a moving train on a dirt bike. Is that it?
Yojimbo, I didn't enjoy it that much. I blame partially the fact that western (in all senses) cinema has copied it so many times, but it also feels less Japanese to begin with. But I'm an eternal complainer for movies, so my opinion doesn't matter.

A movie I'm curious to see if they finally "get it" is of course the new Godzilla King of the Monsters.
They managed not to "ruin" Godizlla in the last movie like they did in 1998, but it was still bad and nothing more than a 2 hours tease. Burn Hollywood, burn.
