Ha, I didn't expect anyone else to vote for them anyway. Still, they remind me that I forgot to nominate Dimahoo for some reason.

Re: Round 5: Olive's Bracket

I thought about casting only 1 vote for Unlimited Saga, but decided to vote for all 3 of the games I nominated. :D

Re: Football... of all sorts!

I'm loving being a Falcons fan again, especially with the only teams on the ticket that look scary to me being, well, divisional. Yeah, Atlanta's schedule looks pretty easy. There's no reason for them not to finish with a strong record this season. The Atlanta vs. Carolina matchups look like they c...

Re: 2016 US Presidential Election

As far as the war/defense spending vs. social spending inflation issue, defense spending has always been a concern to me, though. I think it's excessive and needs to be docked somewhere, even if that does create some problems and possibly result in loss of jobs. Yeah, I understand that, I wasn't ac...

Re: 2016 US Presidential Election

The government can print more money, but that increases inflation which causes many other problems. There has to be some consideration as to how much the government is willing to spend. This common belief isn't true either. For starters, there's a difference between creating money and spending that...

Re: 2016 US Presidential Election

I don't understand where he's going to get his money from in general. He doesn't want to reduce spending anywhere else, yet wants to increase it across the board even though we don't have it. Where do you think money comes from? Do you think government mines dollar bills out of the ground or someth...

Re: 2016 US Presidential Election

^Government does not need tax revenues to finance spending. That's not how the system works. Financing government spending is a non-issue. Sometimes I wonder where people think money comes from, and I wonder whether they ever think about where they think money comes from. Do people think Japan, with...

Re: Round 3: The Newfoundland and Labrador Bracket

I can't believe you didn't weasel Juno First into your post, BTW - it's the vertical equivalent to Defender, at least in terms of free scrolling. Love that game. Oh I did shoehorn Juno First in at one point, but I edited it out. Had Juno First come out earlier, say before Xevious, I of course would...

Re: Round 3: The Newfoundland and Labrador Bracket

Bosconian and Sinistar, among others shouldn't be discounted in that progression. Free-roamers definitely became their own offshoot, but I'd place them smack in between Galaga and Xevious. You could look at it that way. Your progression then would be to go from fixed screen + no or limited vertical...
