Re: Quarterfinals: 2/4 - The Legend of Final Fantasy
How do you mean slowed down? Loading time for menus, battles, moving to new areas, etc. It's not totally unbearable, but if you played the SNES version first it's really frustrating to wait 3-4 seconds for the menu to pop up, or 5 seconds for the battle music to kick in... If you have a Wii you cou...

Re: Round of 16: After the Apocalypse
People who voted FF is 6 your favorite? If not which FF is? I waffle between 6 and 7 (which I'll admit is pretty unusual). I don't think either is the pinnacle of the genre, though. For all that people give 7 a hard time over starting the trend toward style over substance, there aren't a whole lot ...

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X
Beyond scaling or in-game adjustable difficulty, I'm not sure there is a solution to this. Most games I've played like this have this problem. It was an issue in Xenoblade as well imo. I think it's a worse problem in X than it was in Xenoblade. Xenoblade is still divided into sub-areas which are ga...

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X
Mine has shipped as well, have yet to play it. The good thing with this game and Xenoblade is that there are always enemies stronger than you, even if you feel like you might be overleveled. The world definitely looks massive. I'm coming right off a Xenoblade Chronicles run through - I believe I'm ...

Xenoblade Chronicles X
I picked up this one over the weekend. Haven't had a ton of time to play, but I've gotten four or five hours in... and I'm pretty impressed. It's probably the first open-world game where I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed by how much there is to do. Do I search for new areas and landmarks? Look for the ...

Re: BGE Questions & General Discussion
Red text = missed the Top 32 for the first time in 2015 Chrono Trigger Secret of Mana Final Fantasy IV Pokémon [Blue/Red] Version Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Niahak, this is where your RPGs went. :( Yeah, those are pretty disappointing (although the Suikodens had a pretty good run - I think...

Re: OBJECTION! - BGE Grievances
Disappointed at the dearth of RPGs (J or W) in the 32 round. FF6 is the only one... Symphony of the Night might be the next closest game to an RPG. I would've hoped Planescape: Torment, one of the Personas, and nearly any Suikoden would have made it. I figured Warband and RTK games wouldn't survive....

Me too! I have a feeling none of them will survive this round.Jordan wrote:Voted for the clear loser.

Caved and voted for Suikoden.
Sorry guys, guess it's a three-way tie now.

Re: Top 128 Tie-Breaker 6/8: Diddy's Bubble
Bubble Bobble is a really good platformer. Also, this is a neat comparison of Bub sprites: Cool! I never noticed before, but NES Bub looks is missing Arcade Bub's smile. Sega MS Bub looks saddest of all (excluding maybe Sinclair ZX). I always thought it was weird on NES how thoughtful the dinosaurs...
