tough choice but I'll go with SMB3 here. MM9 isn't one of my favorite Mega Man games but SMB3 is one of my favorite Marios. That's probably not the best criteria to use, but that's what I'm going with here. If it was MMX, X4, MM3 or MM2 maybe I'd abstain or something.

replace MM9 with Shovel Knight and I'm voting for it straight up. (although it'd be more honest to say it should replace a classic castlevania)

I think an argument could be made that Super Mario World is even better than 3.
