I know I said before 3 was better but having replayed each of the first three recently, I think evildevil is right. At least from what I've played.

My son is just crazy about them btw so it's almost all I've been playing lately lol

Honestly they both feel really good and have great music. I gave X a vote for managing to evolve the series with new hardware while still staying true to what the series is supposed to be.

I like 3 better out of nostalgia because it was the first one I played. I went back and played 2 much later.
