Re: Amiibo
So awesome being able to go to a store in North America and purchase something based on Mother 3.

Does it matter if I keep my two retro Mario's and Golden Mario in the box? I kind of want to open them, but they are the Japanese versions so the box is cool.

That's up to you, the only thing is you can't use them in games in box.Kreegs wrote:Does it matter if I keep my two retro Mario's and Golden Mario in the box? I kind of want to open them, but they are the Japanese versions so the box is cool.

Actually I know a guy who leaves them all in the box. He cuts a small hole in the bottom and pulls out the silver circle. Amiibo can be scanned then

I've heard of that, but it makes me cringe and I feel like at that point I would just take them out of the box :psquishy wrote:The Shoemaker wrote:That's up to you, the only thing is you can't use them in games in box.Kreegs wrote:Does it matter if I keep my two retro Mario's and Golden Mario in the box? Only Amiibo you can use in box without damaging it is the Shovel Knight amiibo.

Re: Amiibo
Anyone tried out the Mini Mario Amiibo game? I always liked the Mario vs. Donkey Kong games, so I thought this was a nice little bonus. It actually does some neat things I haven't seen in the series so far. Really the only thing holding it back (beyond Amiibo walls) is the fact that it doesn't have a natural feel of progression due to each Amiibo opening it's own separate set of levels with the same overall difficulty. But again, a nice little bonus for owning said Amiibo. Wouldn't mind seeing more projects like these.

Yeah, I tried that game. Can use Mario and Toad to unlock their side levels, but none of the others. Game is kind of fun, but it won't last long. Still have a Mario vs. Donkey Kong (DSiWare) game that I've never finished, might as well try that game again.

Yeah that's a pretty good one. Would be nice to see a full release of this title because I like the new mechanics.MerlinDrazziw wrote:Yeah, I tried that game. Looks like Monster Hunter Stories is getting a line of Amiibo!
Really hope this game, and the Amiibo are released worldwide.
