Well it's been like 500~ days since I've done this so it's long overdue. Funnily enough other than Yoshis Island DS I only played games that I bought after June 2014. Frankly I actually don't own a whole lot more games than that. I tend to be more about quantity of playtime than quantity of games I guess. I still think Shantae Pirate's Curse is one of the best games on the system despite my really low playtime of it (13 hours). Sometimes quality matters more than quantity.

Already spent more time on my 3DS this year than the whole of last year. Last 2 months got the most of those hours in, as I played some new games and a lot of 2D Metroid. Don't know if I can keep the momentum going, but it already is a better year for my 3DS.

Haha, yeah, it doesn't help them that all the games in your list are big time-sink games. I'm surprised to see Kid Icarus with that much play time in your list. I'd also personally be inclined to get Mii Plaza out of there. I see it more as a system app than a straight-up game in its own right. (That said, I do include it in my list, but that's mainly because it's not threatening to breach the top 10.)

Well, as promised, I've played Pokémon Picross daily since I started, since I adamantly refuse to spend any real money on freemium ripoff games. I'm now only a couple of puzzles away from beating the game (I just have to wait for my only 20x15-capable Rising Reveal guy to cool down, which takes 30 hours). I'll still have a lot left to do for completion, but that's all post-game (fill the energy bar, unlock the last party slot, and do the mega puzzles).

That's a long way of saying that, in true Picross tradition, we have a new contender for the heavyweight title.

Seven of the top 10 games are Picross games, and one of them (the reigning #1) is another puzzle masterpiece. Only Fire Emblem and the terrible Theatrhythm are carrying the torch for every other genre...
