Sorry I meant the Xbox 360 pad's the only controller that works, you can still use a keyboard.A Beta Fu7ure wrote:Well that sucks. There's really no keyboard support or the possibility of joy2key?link64 wrote:FYI the PC version only works with the 360 controller.
I do have a 360 controller knocking around here somewhere if I can find it but I don't have the receiver for my laptop.
The old club was run on a monthly basis but there is no official timescale on this one. I suggest the game is rotated once everyone feels they are "done" with it rather than it being a rigid monthly thing.kitroplious wrote:I was excited to give Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara a more detailed run, but I'm away from the house until close to the end of the month.

If this is the case it is kinda shameful actually. Even emulators manage to support every type of controller, not cool Capcom.link64 wrote: Sorry I meant the Xbox 360 pad's the only controller that works, you can still use a keyboard.
I was considering getting it on Steam somewhere down the line, but if I have the desperate urge to replay it now I would go for another version (most likely PS3).

Provided keyboard controls are allowed then Joy2Key should mean that any controller can technically be used to play the game. It just takes a little setting up....the major nuisance about PC games in general.Kiwi the Tortoise wrote:If this is the case it is kinda shameful actually. I know it works with Joy2Key and it is quite a nuisance, but why should I invest money in something that makes me jump through hoops before I can enjoy it if there are other options available to me that don't.A Beta Fu7ure wrote: Provided keyboard controls are allowed then Joy2Key should mean that any controller can technically be used to play the game. A 360 controller emulator like X360ce might be a better option than Joy2Key.A Beta Fu7ure wrote:Provided keyboard controls are allowed then Joy2Key should mean that any controller can technically be used to play the game. Re: Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara
Hey, I might get this game! If it's Dragon's Crown-esque, it's probably pretty fun. And, of course, it's always fun to play with other folks and discuss.
I think DS4 is also working for PC now? Not sure if it can overcome the occasional 360-only game you'll find on steam (eg, this game) without using tools mentioned above, but that's also a good pad.
FWIW, the Xbox One controller drivers have been released and are coded in such a way that they are compatible with any game that is compatible with a 360 controller. I think the Xbone controller is excellent, and it can plug into any usb port with a simple micro USB cable (pretty standard issue these days with phones not made by Apple). Xbone controllers are also, naturally, a good bit more expensive than wired 360 controllers, but nevertheless, I recommend them for PC gaming. They really feel great.link64 wrote: Sorry I meant the Xbox 360 pad's the only controller that works, you can still use a keyboard.

If the game gets a price drop on the eShop, I might join in. For now, I'll just follow the actual game discussion.
Re: Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara
I'll be available to play this on PS3 most of today if anyone's around (Vic, Jelly, Clay, Share). Post here or let me know in the chat and we'll connect.

Anyone thinking of getting a Wii U copy?
I coooould get it for my PS3, haven't used it in ages though. It doesn't play Blu-rays or games, but I would think digital games would work.

At least a couple of us are planning to boot this up later today (Kong and I). Hopefully others can join, too. Ping us here or in the chat. Maybe 7-ish hours from now?
I never thought I would feel this way, but now I know. Now I know. I never thought I would see things as I see them now, but now I know. I never thought I would hurt so bad, but now I know. Now I know.
