About to start a serious Souls run (De, Da1 and Da2) soon... Any non-spoilery tips for a someone that is familiar w the game/mechanics but hasn't play super seriously? Also, I've only been using quick, dodgy, light blade using builds (rogue and wanderer) and have never played a magic user (fyi).

My main tip is don't give up and don't get frustrated if you lose a bunch of souls from dying twice. You can always get more souls. That said, don't "consume" the soul-items or boss-soul-items right away. Hold onto them until you need them. They're safer in your inventory than they are as souls.

My other tip is not to overthink your build and worry about making mistakes. You can't really screw yourself over. If you want to change builds or weapons, worst case scenario is you have to build up a couple more levels to increase the right stats. The main reason you see people freaking out about ideal stat builds online is for PvP, which usually has mutually agreed-upon level caps that you don't have to adhere to.

Take care not to go too nuts with levelling up, especially if you want to enlist help/give help in coop. You'll generally find more immediate gains in improving your equipment anyway, and being overlevelled can make it difficult or impossible to summon or get summoned. Being too underlevelled can have the same effect, but at least you can grind that out if needed.

Didn't realize there was one! I always thought the network test was just for Switch, which has now been delayed.
