It's heavily implied multiple times in the story that it stands for Yiga Is Ganon's Ally.

Nice.

I finished the Tarrey Town sidequest. It was super rewarding and the result is awesome. I recommend doing it!!!

Yiga and Kohga are riffs on the Iga and Koga clans. They're both famous ninja groups from Japanese history.

I'll spoiler this in case anyone cares.

My strategy was generally to just wail on 'em with a charge attack with my best two handed weapon. Tends to dispatch them relatively quickly. Perfect dodges into flurries work pretty well too.

By the way, if you're having trouble with the Guardian's spin attack, just put a column between you and the Guardian. He'll hit it and be put out of commission for a second, giving you a chance to strike. If there are no columns, there should be some shallow water you can use to make your own.

I'm now about 130 hours in, 413 Korok Seeds collected, 76 Shrines completed, 15 hearts and 2 + 4/5th stamina meters.

I'm still working on the Death Mountain - Akkala regions, flipping back and forth between. Tarrey Town is turning out to be a very quaint side quest. Also found Robbie at the Akkala lab, finally have a use for the crazy amount of guardian materials I've found! I assumed the whole game that I was going to be overstocked on materials no matter what those parts would be used for, so it was a nice surprise to see I actually do need all of those parts. I noticed that with Rupee's as well. There are times where I feel like I have an endless supply, and times where I feel I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel. It's a surprisingly nice balance considering how previous Zelda's would always have way too many Rupee's.

I've probably been to Hyrule Castle 4-5 times now, and I think this time I've pretty much explored everything. Maaaybe a couple Koroks left but I have found a lot there. I finally found the

Hylian Shield today as well. Looks really nice paired with the Master Sword.

Just showed the game to my dad. He thought it looked really cool. He said it would be even more epic if Link could play Pokemon Go during the game.
