The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Looks cool. I ordered the DLC a few days ago and got the not so amazing, but still nice, bonus chests for the great Plateau. 20 bucks for both packs seemed like a decent price.

I'll probably wait until the DLC comes out before I buy.

I just got a pretty sweet shield!!
I always have this uneasy feeling when I am in the castle, like I am not supposed to be there. To me, this is awesome game design.
Spoiler
I figured I was BA enough to finally explore the castle. I at least want to activate the shrine in there for easy access. Found the Hylian shield,
which was sweet.

I agree. Hyrule Castle is absolutely awesome. One of my favorite parts of the game.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
So I'm about 170 hours in, 99 shrines completed, 570+ Korok Seeds, and finally activated all the towers. My last tower was the south east area, Floria I think? It's all rainforest, it's really nice. Today I started at Floria, made my way around the beach edge towards Lanayru Mountain, farmed Naydra for a while, continued on to Zora's Domain to finish a few side quests I had, continued onto Akkala to upgrade my clothes and tackled the point of interest at the north eastern corner of the map, and continued on through Death Mountain to finish up some quests. Essentially travelled the entire outter edge of the east!
I might try and beat the game tomorrow, as my trajectory is leading me to the Lost Woods where I'll cash in my seeds, and from there I'll be right behind Hyrule Castle. That's generally how I've been playing this game. I rarely fast travel, I really like the experience of physically venturing from place to place.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Beat the game yesterday! I think I've already explained plenty about how much I've enjoyed the game, so no need to repeat myself there. I liked the ending sequences, I will say the last boss was a lot more Dark Souls than I was expecting!
Beat the game around 175 hours, and about 71.13% complete according to the game's map. I've been playing more since I beat it and I now only need to find about 6 more shrines and 310 Korok Seeds. I have a few side quests scattered about and a decent amount of clothes to upgrade yet. I think I actually have all the rare dragon, guardian and star pieces I'll need, it's just a matter of collecting the "common" materials such as swift violets, ice keese wings, ect. Took me a while to find 45 hot-footed frogs If only I knew early on how useful these materials would be.
Definitely see myself crossing the 200 hour mark with this one once the DLC hits.

Just realized something about the completion percentage.
Check the link if you want more info.

Spoiler
It is actually a map completion percentage, not a game completion percentage.

LMAO, Korok Seeds contribute to 72% of total completion! That Korok Mask can't come soon enough.

Right, but quests don't count towards completion. Neither do actually finishing shrines, just locating them on the map!
