BGE!!! Project Results 2010-14

I've had this spreadsheet for a while, and I think I shared it shortly after the 2012 BGE!!! Project concluded, but it may have been consumed.

This shows the complete "BEST GAME EVER!!!" Project nominations and results for the 2010 and 2012 competitions. The list is currently ranked highest-to-lowest. For sorting purposes only, 2012 rank ties are broken by 2012 total nominations, which are broken by 2010 ranks, which are broken by 2010 total nominations. For actual ranking purposes, the 2012 rank column allows ties.

In total, there have been 2331 games nominated for the event. Having this massive database of games at the ready will help us do the administrative work of the competition much more easily, as it's likely only newly-released games will have to be added.

The 2014-15 results will be added to this chart as well after the official launch.

Let me know if you have any trouble viewing the chart, or if you find any data that looks anomalous.

Metroid Prime did so much better in 2012.

Metroid Prime did so much better in 2012.

It did pick up from 51st place in 2010 to 7th place in 2012, but the best overall gain was Demon's Souls, which only had one nomination (*raises hand*) and finished in 703rd place in 2010, but moved up to 38th place in 2012 (an improvement of 665 ranks!).
