Man, you guys don't even know how bad the aiming controls were in previous games. I suspect we'll see a lot more bow and bowgun users now that they've improved it.

I mean... we have played the previous games. :)

There's going to be a beta from 9-12 December for PS+ subscribers, according to the PS Blog. I keep forgetting this game is so close. I already have three Destiny clannies ready to hop into the action.

We have a pretty good crew playing MoHu right now. What builds are y'all using?

I've been playing primarily with the Longsword. I have it upgraded pretty nicely right now.

I think I'm about HR12 now. I have access to the high-rank quests and have done a couple of them, but haven't really advanced the story beyond that point yet. Looking forward to doing some of the weekly event quests and some of the wilder multi-animal hunts once we get fully crewed-up.

As you know I started with the long sword but the charge blade is really working for me now. I love that you can now charge the sword along with the axe, makes for some very satisfying combos.

So does that make our (current) lineup:

Shoe: Charge Blade
Vic: Hammer
Bacon: Dual Blades
Kong: Long Sword
Kiwi: Bow
Mess: Great Sword
Cook: ???

Cook's been toying with the Gunlance. Says he'll probably stick with it a while.

We're definitely doing better with the weekly bounties this week, now that we have more people climbing the higher ranks.

One thing I'm really liking about this game is that the Event quests are actually a pretty regular way for them to release tiny snippets of extra content into the game (like the Wiggler hat and the sunglasses). Even the ones that don't give you new gear sets have their own uses (the grand hunts are good for finding tiny and giant monsters, and this week's triple threat throwdown is good for decorations and Bandit Mantle money). It's a clever way for them to stay on top of content without resorting to big updates (one of which is coming imminently anyway—looking forward to facing Devil Joe!)
