Pico-8 is a thing. I know Vic's been coding up a new game on it. Other non-TONe people have, too! Why don't we use this thread to discuss the tool, to post about whatever we're making/playing, and also to collect interesting-looking games for us to try out?

Pico-8 is a ton of fun. Worth picking up even if only for the mountain of free games available (some of them really quite good).

As a novice at coding, I can't really speak for it as a tool with any comparisons, but I can definitely vouch for its ease of use and the benefits of its (calculated) limitations.

I've heard it said that Pico-8 captures the essence of game making as it was like in the early 80's. Based on articles and interviews I've read with devs from that era, the claim seems apt.

Life has gotten in the way of my game for the last month or so, but I will post the most recent build I've uploaded to Lexaloffle below. I'll also link to an excellent tutorial series I've used throughout.
