Needed new shoes, so I bought the Nike Air Monarch from SportChek this past week.

Returned them today (requested by my folks), with the Superfeet padding.

I'll probably get a replacement this week or next.

Yeah, Chucks in particular are huge out here. When I first got here I was told you couldn't be considered a Vancouverite until you owned a pair... I still don't. That said, vintage tennis and running shoes seem very popular here just in general. Tons of classic Adidas, Puma, Vans, Cons. Even the old-school New Balances are starting to take off.

Nice, I've been wearing New Balances for years, but I prefer the older styles. Might have to pick up a pair if I'm ever in Canada again (unless the trend migrates to New York as well...)
