Yeah, I'll vote for Planescape: Torment this time.

I legitimately haven't played either of these games, and while Panzer Dragoon Saga is a tragedy for basically being inaccessible and unplayable right now, that doesn't mean it's also good. Torment is critically acclaimed and Pluvially acclaimed running on a tested and true engine and boasting some of the best writing in the medium. Without having played it, credit where it's due.

Panzer Dragoon Saga is a bucket list game for me. To this day I am hungry to play it. Still, there is no way it's getting my vote. As I mentioned in the chat, this is a game that has simply lost too much to the fog of time. It's touted as a masterpiece by a tiny group of lucky folks who have tried it, yet gets little interest from the wider gaming population beyond being a rare curiosity. At this point, it's known more for the fact that the source code went missing/got destroyed than anything else. It is SEGA's Mother.

Torment, on the other hand, is a game that gets played to this day. It has a reasonably large contingent of vocal supporters with a huge critical consensus behind it. And that's not even touching on the ways it changed western RPGs going forward.

Easy choice for me.
