Tough pool. Batman was fun FFX is great too but Guacamelee was amazing and Portal series is an auto pick.

Poll 2 of 4 - Northwestern Qualifiers
Bloodborne (2015, PS4)
Cave Story (2004, PC)
Chrono Trigger (1995, SNES)
Metal Gear Solid (1998, PS1)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater / Subsistence (2004, PS2)
Spelunky (2012, Multiplatform)
Super Meat Boy (2010, Multiplatform)
Tetris (1989, GB)

Decided to not vote Super Meat Boy for tactical reason to help Cave Story. (Don't think Tetris needs the help but it's a masterpiece)

Poll 3 of 4 - Southeastern Qualifiers
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007, Multiplatform)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (1997, PS1)
Mega Man 9 (2008, Multiplatform)
Super Mario 64 (1996, N64)
Super Mario Bros. 3 (1988, NES)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (2010, Wii)
Super Mario World (1990, SNES)

Undertale (2015, Multiplatform)

Surprisingly easy. Cod4 is meh, SotN I never got hooked on, MM9 I haven't played and seems average for MM, SM64 sucks, Never played Undertale.

Super Mario World was my childhood, Galaxy 2 was my jump back into Nintendo after a long break, SMB3 is a really solid fun game. Pretty easy.

Poll 4 of 4 - Southwestern Qualifiers
Celeste (2018, Multiplatform)
Dark Souls (2011, Multiplatform)
Galaga (1981, Arcade)
StarCraft (1998, PC)
Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (1991, Arcade)
Super Metroid (1994, SNES)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991, SNES)

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017, NS)

BotW isn't fun for me so will never get a vote. Hopefully BotW gets kicked out before the big guns (zelda titles) come in to play.

I saw a post on twitter about this being the top 32 where's team fortress 2 and I don't remember seeing wind waker, oots or majoras mask (unless I derped and missed them).

Was it the Twitter post that said "We're down to the Top 32 (plus 2 high-seeded byes)"? Team Fortress 2 is one of the high-seeded byes. Wind Waker, Ocarina, and Majora were eliminated.

So seeding basically gives 2 games a top 16 spot? That seems weird.

This is what I feared. Some real gems have been knocked out and seeding has given cod4 a top 32 spot.

Anyway what's done is done glad I got to experience the last 3 events.

Are we going down to 1v1s soon? I really liked those discussion wise.

I lost some gems too. Best thing to do is lament in a heartfelt post and maybe get someone to want to play it again or play it for their first time. Or tweet about it or whatever works for you.

I wish R-Type, Shadowhearts: Covenant, and Skies of Arcadia were still around but they’re not :(. I can still play R-Type at least...
I’ve been waiting for the sun to come up. Waiting for the showers to stop. Waiting for the penny to drop. One time. And I’ve been standing in a cloud of plans. Standing on the shifting sands. Hoping for an open hand. One time.

They have to survive the wild card round first, but they both fully deserve it.

Eh, structurally it's pretty good. If we had more participants, then the nomination round would start to level out as the sheer horde of people tossing nominations at crappier Mario games would also buoy those up into the top 32. ;)

The whole top 16 will be 1v1.

Awesome. I assumed it will 100% be random and game series won't be forced to 1v1 each other? Obviously rng could cause it to still happen though.

There will be no RNG. Everything is sorted according to seed rank derived either from nomination weight or voted/ranks coming out of previous rounds. #1 game vs. #16 game, etc.

Then will 1v16 winner vs 8v9 winner in a set bracket or will everything be reseeded for top 8?
