I got some more NGPC stuff:
A boxed (minus instructions) PAL copy of the Sacnoth submarine RPG: Dive Alert - Matt's Version and a Japanese puzzle game called Delta Warp which thankfully is entirely in English.
I also finally located a link up cable for my Neo Geo Pocket Colors and have been having fun trading data and unlocking easter eggs and secrets in my games with it.
Also arriving in the post today were a cart of Toki Tori for GBC and a new battery for my broken DS-Lite in the hope that the battery was the problem.

Re: What's the latest thing you bought?
I bought a new battery to repair my broken DS-Lite with then on a whim I went shopping for new games since the only one's I still owned were the Tingle trilogy and Learn Japanese. Ended up getting:
Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Lost in Blue 2
Prince of Persia: Fallen King
Last Window: Secret of Cape West
Rooms: The Main Building
For some reason I've never played the Layton games yet. I wanted Rooms when it first came out and the Hotel Dusk format looked interesting too (unfortunately I couldn't find the first game.) The others were just cheap as chips and fairly interesting looking although I think they got average reviews.
Now seems to really be that great time to collect for the DS that comes with the end of every consoles lifespan. All the stores stock plentiful supplies due to the 3DS compatibility (I presume) and the games are absurdly cheap (unless were talking Mario on the cover).

I bought a righteous pair of yoga pants. They fit perfectly and they're super comfy and light.
My suit, which I mentioned in my last post, is now in dire need of dry cleaning after a sweltering 40° party in Toronto, so that picture I promised might have to wait (unless I get a hold of one of the wedding photos).

Re: What's the latest thing you bought?
Here's my latest purchase:
Beautiful new Pioneer AVR, which means I can finally put the speakers I purchased last month to good use. I just got it set up late Monday night, so I haven't had time to really play around with the options. My hope is to tweak the sound settings and test various connectivity features this weekend. Steaming music from my laptop!

How much did it set you back for?

Re: What's the latest thing you bought?
This one is last year's model. It was $349.99 regular price, so I thought I'd wait for it to get a discount, but instead it disappeared from stock and was replaced with a $500 model from this year! My usual patience strategy backfired on me! After I saw that happen, I went to another site and ordered one right away. Still, $350 isn't bad for this. It has a ton of features, lots of power, 6 HDMI inputs (my main requirement, since I can keep all my consoles hooked up at the same time), and room to expand up to 7.1 speakers (I only have 3 right now).kawaiipikachu wrote:Looks like a pretty neat receiver.

Differently sounds like a neat system, just a shame your bargain plan did not go too well.Kong Wen wrote:This one is last year's model. I a bit envious about your setup but at least I got something better than my TV's tinny sound which in itself says alot.

An energizer torch lantern combo unit model number fat41.
Powered by 4 double A batteries (included)
Seems to be a reasonable torch so far.
