I love Super Mario Bros. 3, but I'm voting for Super Mario World because of Yoshi, secret exits, and Star World.

I'm voting for Galaxy 2 for the bronze. I prefer the first Galaxy (I know, I know, Yoshi), but the sequel is basically DLC, and I think those two games together are a more coherent and unique vision for the 3D Mario platforming series.

Galaxy was 7th place overall. It got creamed by Super Mario Bros. 3 in the Quarterfinals.

Super Mario Bros. 3 was the overall winner of the 2015 "BGE!!!" Project Main Event, so it's interesting that it finished 2nd here when stacked up against games from its own series.
