King of Cards was an excellent expansion for Shovel Knight. Found pretty everything in the game other than the last few cards you'd have to buy. I think it was the longest campaign for me as well, clocking in at 11 hours.

I enjoyed this game, although I think there are several ways in which it seemed rushed. Nevertheless, I liked the way it mixed up the usual formula. Having the gym battles actually take place in giant arenas is good (and surprising it took this long). This one also probably had the best soundtrack since Gen V? Maybe Gen II? Really liked it.

Overall a fine entry. I get the complaints, but it's a serviceable Pokémon title. Looking forward to the next, which I think has the potential to be an all-timer now that Game Freak has HD development experience under its belt.

Well that will wrap up 2019, won't be finishing any more games in the next few hours. Grand total for this year was 61 games finished, 2 completed. Last year I thought i couldn't top 55 games, but here we are. Also, that's 281 games beaten over 10 years. There were quite a few I got really close to completing but didn't bother with the few annoying leftover things. Of those 61 games, 11 were released in 2019.

This was a bit of a legacy year for me, getting an xbox one allowed me to play a lot of games and series I hadn't tried before. Same with Nintendo Switch Online getting me to focus on a select few NES and SNES titles.

Really interesting how my list just stopped after I stopped streaming. I'm going to make a bigger effort this year since the list is really bad still of backlogs. Especially getting like 5 games over christmas/birthday. Regardless I think I bought less than I beat this year which rarely happens.

That is interesting! Are you done streaming? I wonder if you stopped beating games at the same time because it was associated with your streaming, or because of general burnout/lack of interest, or if the gaming thing was totally independent? I can't say that I'm going to make a bigger effort to beat games this year because I have a lot of stuff going on, but I'm hoping to keep it interesting rather than playing anything out of a feeling of obligation or whatever.

I'm basically done with streaming was finding it hard to play pokemon go + stream regularally and decided that getting out and walking was better for me. Also now that I have a girlfriend I've just been playing less and less games. Plus pokemon shield has eaten up any other time I've had free the last month and a half.

I'm hoping to still finish games next year but I don't have high hopes.
