Beaten:
1/11 - Ghosts'n Goblins (PS3 [Arcade])
2/5 - Turok (Switch)
2/8 - Garou: Mark of the Wolves (PSN [Arcade])
2/17 - Makaimura for WonderSwan (WonderSwan)
3/3 - Bust-A-Move Pocket (Neo Geo Pocket Color)
3/7 - Luigi's Mansion 3 (Switch)
3/10 - Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition (PSN [Sega CD])
3/22 - Marvel's Spider-Man (PS4)
3/23 - Dragon Quest (Switch [NES])
3/26 - Panzer Dragoon: Remake (Switch)
4/4 - Doom 64 (Switch)
4/21 - Tearaway (PS Vita)
4/24 - Rocket Knight Adventures (Genesis)
5/1 - Streets of Rage 4 (PSN [PS4])
5/20 - Bare Knuckle III (Steam [Mega Drive])
5/21 - Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (GameCube)

Can't think of the last time I beat a GameCube game, but here we are. DKJB is an admirable effort by Nintendo even if it often feels clumsy. There are several levels that feel absolutely great as you jump and clap your way through them, but there's another chunk that are absolutely miserable as they demand more precision than the controller can afford. If more of the game had been like the former set of levels, this could've been great instead of merely good. Still glad this kind of nonsense game exists, though, and I'm glad to have played it. Plus, now I have the silly bongos to sit atop my CRT for the rest of time. 🍌

Really enjoyed this DLC package even though it took me ages to beat. Just played a race here and a challenge there over time and finally knocked it out today. The gravity-defying tracks and speed boosts *almost* captured that F-Zero feel I miss so much. Almost. A great change of pace from the more realistic racing the series is known for.

5/26 - Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (Xbone)

Decided to bust the Xbox out for the first time in about a year to play one of its better offerings I was long overdue on. Ori isn't quite as special as I'd been led to believe, but it's awfully pretty, has a beautiful soundtrack, and its driving gameplay gimmick definitely satisfies. I'll have to play its recent sequel sometime, perhaps on less of a delay than the original. :)

But before that, I've got Xenoblade coming out on my birthday. Planning to clear my calendar to sink my teeth into a quality JRPG. It's been awhile!

IMO the specialness of Ori is precisely its prettiness and its soundtrack.

Damn, to think I was nearly going to have a nice relaxing birthday without anyone making fun of my plans!*

*If it sucks, I'll forgive you. I am a little surprised, though. You're the first person I've really heard speak ill of the first game.

Been a while since I updated this.

Pikuniku: The game was fun and charming however really wasn't amazing or anything glad I didn't spend anything on it other than my Game Pass Subscription.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps: Just as good if not better than the original. Really fun game and such a huge world and great story.

Untitled Goose Game: Kinda a dumb game really. Over-hyped quite a lot. Still fun for a Game Pass Game

Pokemon Sword: My girlfriends copy basically just played it to see if I could beat the game with just Galar Slowpoke (With no items) Basically the same as Shield with worse gym leaders.

Pokemon Shield: The Isle of Armor: Too short, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too short. However the new wild area is awesome. Also very few new pokemon gen 8 pokemon just made it feel very shallow. I can catch all these new old pokemon but I have nothing to use them for other than pvp. The next DLC looks better.
