I voted for GTA III here, the first good big open world 3D sandbox in the series. Nice city, too.

Continuing to evaluate Xenoblade as I play it. It's certainly pretty good so far, but I can't give full votes til I've beaten it. Kirby: Planet Robobot was also the first Kirby game I really liked in years. I played it while I was waiting for just about all my belongings to arrive in Seattle right after college (they'd been shipped from my Atlanta apartment and parents' home in Chattanooga only a day or two before my flight). I think my first trip to the nearby Target involved me getting bathroom and hygiene necessities, a garbage can, plasticware, some microwaveable dinners, an air mattress... and Kirby. When I wasn't walking around the city to get my bearings, I spent my hours playing that and watching Netflix on my laptop in my empty, echoey apartment. Fond memories of the very beginning of my adult life.
