Snake Eater is one of those landmark games for me personally. Absolutely loved it and was instantly struck with that "wow, this is one of my all-time favorite games" feeling after finishing it. I've rebeaten it a number of times and platinumed it on PS3. Gonna be a tough bracket that doesn't see it get a 3 from me.
Golf on Mars is the sequel to the perfect mobile game Desert Golfing. Both are 2D golf games that involve drag-and-release (think Angry Birds) style gameplay. Absolutely perfect mobile time waster stuff. It only just came out, but I can already tell it's one of those "better in every way" type sequels. It's an expansion on the idea that doesn't seem to have regressed in any aspect. Really love it.
Doom II's anniversary edition I'm assuming didn't do anything to mess up that great Doom formula (perhaps an excess of faith in Bethesda). So, yknow. It's good.
Doom is more Doom, with all the expansions and master levels.
Golf on Mars is more Desert Golfing.
This is the pool of good sequels.
