Each game is randomly seeded into pools using the sequence generator at Random.org. There's no seeding, no ranking, and no preference or prioritization.
The results of the pools will determine how each game stacks up in the elimination rounds, coming... realistically in early 2021.
HOW TO VOTE
Voting is ranked, but it's not super intuitive, so listen up.
You have 6 total votes to distribute.
You can only select up to 3 options.
You can only give each option up to 3 votes.
NOTE: The number you pick is not the RANK of your choice (i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd), but the number of VOTES you're giving it.
The more votes (bigger numbers) a game gets, the better for that game.
EXAMPLES
You could pick three games and order them by giving them 3, 2, and 1 votes.
If you like three games equally, you could give them 2, 2, and 2 votes.
If you only like two games, you could give them 3 and 3 votes (or 3 and 2, etc.).
This gives you a lot of granularity for how you assign your votes and thereby a lot of influence over which games can do well. Use your power wisely!

Shield and Sword is a weird way of wording it since its marketed as sword and shield. Not that I mind
Gave it 2 votes ive lost a lot of interest in the game lately and feel it's not that great. Still good but not great
It's not weird, it's an alphabetical list of two games lol.
Splitting my votes for max-weight for both the excellent beamup Double Dragon and the excellent Illusion of Gaia.

2 votes for Epic Pinball first decent pinball game I played
2 votes also for Prince of Persia WW, a game I never finished but did like to play the series.
Let me be the first to say that the SMS port of Double Dragon is much, much better than the NES port. I still gave it votes though.
I never thought I would feel this way, but now I know. Now I know. I never thought I would see things as I see them now, but now I know. I never thought I would hurt so bad, but now I know. Now I know.

Much better, yes, and still mediocre. I want to love Double Dragon, but try as I might, it still has not clicked. Maybe some day.

You don't need to love it now. In many ways it's too late. There are better beamups. It was great for those there at the time.

Yeah, but I usually don't have a problem enjoying rough progenitor games that came out before I was born. I've liked plenty! DD is just a rare exception. I bought the arcade version of 1 & 2 on PSN awhile ago to hopefully play with a friend one day and see if in its fully realized form I dig it. If not, at least I can say I tried!
I didn't hate the new Double Dragon IV, but it was totally forgettable. One of those 8-bit nostalgia sequels that didn't quite nail it.

Yeah DD4 wasn't good.

Neither was DD3 IMO. Double Dragon is pretty fun. It throws a neat curve ball at co-op players late in the game (SMS, Genesis and Arcade versions only - NES completely redid the fourth level to make it bad.) If memory serves me the NES port doesn’t support co-op either? Anyway, I loved the good ports of the game and still play it occasionally.
Edit: There’s a ton of ports so I don’t know which ones beyond the three I noted are good ports. Full disclosure.
