Re: What are you reading?

I finished three more books. The first was a good book albeit disturbing. Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita. The second was a condensed strip of tripe laced with diarrhea - Resident Evil published by Boss Fight. The third was a reread of the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, which I loved. I’m still reading Stephen King, Daniel Sbraham, and I’m about to start the Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes.

1. Castle of Wizardry by David Eddings
2. Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien
3. Enchanter’s End Game by David Eddings
4. The Way of All Flesh by Samuel Butler
5. Candide by Francois Marie Arouet de Voltaire
6. Understanding Iran by William R. Polk
7. The Future of Humanity by Michio Kaku
8. The Return of the King by J.R.R.Tolkien
9. Choosing Death by Albert Mudrian
10. The Republic by Plato
11. The Notebook by José Saramago
12. The Tyrant’s Law by Daniel Abraham
13. A Mother’s Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy by Sue Klebold
14. Starship Troopers by Robert Heinlein
15. Dracula by Bram Stoker
16. Animal Farm by George Orwell
17. Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John le Carré
18. Galaga by Michael Kimball
19. Mustaine by Dave Mustaine with Joe Layden
20. A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle
21. The Widow’s House by Daniel Abraham
22. The Sign of the Four by Arthur Conan Doyle
23. Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
24. Resident Evil by Philip Reed
25. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
I never thought I would feel this way, but now I know. Now I know. I never thought I would see things as I see them now, but now I know. I never thought I would hurt so bad, but now I know. Now I know.

I knocked out the wonderful book, Breakout: Pilgrim in the Microworld. A reprint of a book published long ago when Breakout was more contemporary. It’s a book about obsession, though, and navigating that. This is probably my second favorite Boss Fight book so far (after Galaga). I had a great time reading it.

Am also reading book two of the Mallorean and a Stephen King recently published book. Good times.

I knocked out Stephen King’s ‘If It Bleeds’ - an outstanding collection of novellas published just this year. I seldom read new books, but bought it with a gift card I bought and got to it sooner than I’d expected. Great book and highly recommended.

I’m still reading book 2 of the Mallorean, the Heavy Metal history book, and, slowly but surely, a Daniel Abraham pulp fantasy book (book 5 of The Dagger and Coin series). Speaking of new books, I’ll be starting the last Shannara book soon as well as Portrait of a Lady. Good times.

My copy of Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi came in yesterday! Homegoing (her debut) is one of the more brilliant novels I've read, so I was more than happy to pre-order her follow-up effort. It's moved up my queue to probably 3rd place, which means I'll probably read it over the winter holidays.

I finished the next entry in David Eddings’ Mallorean series: The King of the Murgos. It was fun - good but not great. Classic Eddings.
