[Kong Wen]

I was finally able to put in the time to beat the quite good Spider-Man (PS4). I had my problems with it, but it was overall quite a solid game. This guy is a good Spider-Man / Peter Parker. It's too bad they changed him into some weird babyface dude for no reason in the upgrade? Seems like a very strange thing to put the graphical overhaul work into, unless they were retroactively terrified by the way Avengers got lambasted for their B-movie stunt double-looking characters and wanted to make this guy look slightly more like Tom Holland...

Anyway, I'll be moving on to the DLC now, as well as gradually working towards completing all districts. I, of course, am mainly just missing bases.

This game is damn good. I go into a bit more detail in my blog post below, but frankly, knowing as little as possible about this game before getting into it made it better for me, I think. If you want a good mystery adventure game, you'd have a hard time doing better than OW. Makes me question my 2019 call of Baba is You as GOTY!

The Outer Wilds is a game that really just throws you into space and demands you figure it out on your own. It's a really unique experience. Like you mentioned in your blog it's neat that you're not necessarily gaining new abilities to progress, but new knowledge.

Surprise beat today! I bought OutRun 2 at a game shop in Virginia (I think?) awhile back. Finally got around to booting it up and had a fun cruise through the easiest path on Normal. Easiest or not, I still got to the end, so that's a beat to me. Now I'm having some fun with mission mode and trying to clear other paths in arcade mode. Overall, I'm just glad to have finally reached the finish line of an Outrun title, a feat that has eluded me so far in previous entries.

I continued on with Spider-Man enough to finally 100% everything and get the Platinum trophy, thereby unlocking the best costume in the game. I wanted to do this before going on with the DLC so I could at least get some gameplay in my undies. Going to be gradually shooting for 100% trophy completion with this one, which should simply involve a couple of hours completing the remaining 2 DLC chapters, followed by a NG+ run through Ultimate difficulty. Not sure how long that latter step will take, but I won't need to explore, collect, and complete side-missions, so... maybe not long? I'm also not sure what carries over into NG+ with you.

All right. Finally beat a CoD game. I remain ambivalent to the series after playing one of its most highly rated entries, but I gotta admit the campaign was definitely solid. I had a good time, and I added a good stack of trophies to my profile (still eyeing the platinum, which is definitely within reach but has a couple tricky trophies to go). Enjoyable enough, but I don't see myself playing another one of these.
