Disgaea 5

The niche series successors keep on rolling out! Nippon Ichi has announced that Disgaea 5 will be coming to PS4 in Japan in 2015. Disgaea 4 was just remade for the Vita, following in the portable-port footsteps of its predecessors, so it's certainly plausible that we'll see a scaled-back version of Disgaea 5 appear on handheld in a couple years too.

I'm glad to see that Sony's continuing the trend of bringing these more off-the-wall exclusives to its platforms.

Disgaea 3 & 4 were both PS3 exclusives. I haven't seen any evidence to make me doubt that trend will continue, but I suppose it could happen.

I'd like to see these games take a step forward with their sprite design. The core game is deep and solid as it is, and doesn't really change much, so why not really have some fun with the visuals? SNK showed us what can be done with KoF, I want to see that kind of ambition with all of the sprite holdouts.
