Top 2048 — Week 13 — Poll 9

Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round!

The previous micro-round was solely to put the lowest-ranked games against each other and weed out enough games to come up with a nice even 2048 for bracketing purposes. And here we are.

This is the top 2048!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Half of these games will advance to the Top 1024, and the other half will be demoted to the losers' bracket, where they'll fight for survival and a chance at redemption.

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances. Check back every week, because with the stakes this high, you're not going to want to miss a vote!

This is a rough matchup, even though the games are decades apart. Post Void is a rad fps trip, but Metal Gear is a tight ur-stealth game and I give it the edge here.

MSX2 was a home computer architecture created by Microsoft, think "Amiga" or "C64" as standalone computer systems. The Metal Gear game on NES was a port of this one, with a bunch of changes (including the removal of the actual Metal Gear, lmao).

Man this is tough! I'm gonna have to come back to this. Post Void is good as hell, and I need to spend more time with it. Maybe I will before I make the call here.
