Gaming Resolutions for 2021

Post by Sharecrow »

I've got an atrocious track record on completing gaming resolutions...I get so distracted. I only completed one of 2020's. Anyway, it's a new year and time for a new effort.

Sharecrow's 2021 resolutions:

1. Play the hell out of ninja and samurai games.

2. Beat a Resident Evil game.

3. Acquire a PS5.

4. Platinum a VR game.
I’ve been waiting for the sun to come up. Waiting for the showers to stop. Waiting for the penny to drop. One time. And I’ve been standing in a cloud of plans. Standing on the shifting sands. Hoping for an open hand. One time.

1. Beat 5 Nintendo Switch games

2. Limit video game spending to two thousand or less (excluding hardware and in-game purchases).

3. For total games obtained in 2021, have at least 20% of them by import.

4. Acquire a next-gen console if someone in the household doesn’t have one. If they do have a next-gen console, then acquire a game or accessory specific to it.

5. Limit spending for in-game purchases (loot boxes, rubies, tokens, etc.) and age restricted activities to one thousand, five hundred dollars or less for the year. (Excludes physical blind box purchases).

Re: Gaming Resolutions for 2021

Post by Sharecrow »

Okay thought I’d recap how I’m doing as the EVP of the year is fast approaching.

Sharecrow's 2021 resolutions:

1. Play the hell out of ninja and samurai games.
I did so-so here....played some Ninja Gaiden and did platinum Ghost of Tsushima. Never booted Sekiro as I’d hoped to. This also prompted my reading of the Asian Saga by James Clavell, which I was doing good on up until June but will finish early next year.

2. Beat a Resident Evil game.
This isn’t done yet but I do expect to beat Resident Evil 7 before the end of the year.

3. Acquire a PS5.
Done.

4. Platinum a VR game.
Impossible at this point as I no longer have VR.
I’ve been waiting for the sun to come up. Waiting for the showers to stop. Waiting for the penny to drop. One time. And I’ve been standing in a cloud of plans. Standing on the shifting sands. Hoping for an open hand. One time.
