Bottom 1024 — Week 24 — Poll 15

Post by This Old Neon »

Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!

Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Saturday... or Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

Minit is cute, a good concept, and well-executed, but I don't think that is enough to boost it over something like DS.

I will say this for The Dark Spire - although I still haven't played it, I've listened to its soundtrack enough times that I probably could've beaten it in that time.

I got the soundtrack when a local Gamestop was liquidating its large stock of the game at $5 a pop and I picked one up. I should've known it was one of the best investment opportunities I'd see in my lifetime...

I can’t opine on how much you’ve listened to it, but I can say it’s a long, difficult, and complicated game. Sure you’re just killing monsters in a dungeon but there are so many secrets to find. I never did beat it - indeed I don’t know anyone who has. Have great memories of it, though.
I’ve been waiting for the sun to come up. Waiting for the showers to stop. Waiting for the penny to drop. One time. And I’ve been standing in a cloud of plans. Standing on the shifting sands. Hoping for an open hand. One time.

This is one reason I haven't started it - nearly every impression I've read has emphasized that it is difficult and lengthy. I've got a very long list of dungeon crawlers on the backlog, and a relatively small appetite for them. I might eventually start up this one knowing I will not reach the end - it certainly didn't stop me attempting Strange Journey the first 5 times.

I've played the game multiple times, but never to the end. I usually move out somewhere after meeting David Bowie the Goblin King at the next to last floor, the game isn't that long but sometimes obtuse and bit exhausting.

I really kinda love the game tough.
Got the Soundtrack CD too, was packed in with the game.
