Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.
Polls are updated weekly, typically on Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!
HOW TO VOTE
This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!
Super Mario World is probably the best example of a pure 2D action platformer. The best of the 2D Marios. Perfect feel, not bogged down by clunky mechanics, actual inspired map/world, great music.

I’m tickled pink that a Might and Magic game is still in contention. I had to go with it - just adore these games. So simple and deep at the same time. Classic JRPG.

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but it's worth noting that M&M definitively isn't a JRPG, it's a western RPG or PC RPG or whatever nomenclature we're using for them these days.

Super Mario world was so amazing to me - I played it before SMB 3 (I'd played SMB and parts of Doki Doki Panic - I mean, SMB 2). The hidden areas, power switches, ghost houses - and Yoshi! The only thing I don't like about it is that, going back and playing it again, it was only difficult for me to beat because I was 12. Too easy as a grown adult.
I hate voting against Isles of Terra, as it is a vast, goofy, super creative RPG from a series that doesn't get much love these days. But M&M 6 and 7 are the true greats of that series.
