Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.
Polls are updated weekly, typically on Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!
HOW TO VOTE
This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!
Calling Super Mario Land dinky is a pretty good summation actually lol. Not just because it's a 20-minute-long game, but because it's pretty much just a cheap attempt to photocopy a running and jumping man onto a limited portable platform. It's decently fun for those 20 minutes, but so is kicking a ball at a wall. No where near a "BEST" anything.
Skyrim is at least a hugely ambitious open world, released at kind of the first time an open world of that scale could reasonably be implemented. And it wasn't even an MMO! The main thing to hold against Skyrim is that it was so good at what it does that it prevented a new mainline Elder Scrolls game from coming out this entire time.
