Top 256 — Week 3 — Poll 32

Post by This Old Neon »

Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 256!

Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

This is the first of these polls I've looked at and it is already tricky.

I really like Shining Force II - it's probably the first tactical RPG I played to completion - I've never been able to bring myself to play RE4 despite owning it as horror games aren't really my thing.

But I have to admit that RE4 is certainly more popular if not also more influential. About the only negative thing I can say about RE4 is that it's another third-person shooter, but they aren't really strongly represented in this contest otherwise (and, from what I know, RE4 was a major standout in the genre - it's certainly different from Uncharted, and likely responsible for the plethora of TPSes in the following gen).

I used to work with an older guy, a security guard, and his name was Leon. He still works in my former department. One day, I'm going to sneak up behind him with a recording of Ashley yelling "LEEEOOOOONNN" and see how far he jumps.
