Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!
Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.
Polls are updated weekly, typically on Saturday... or Sunday or Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!
HOW TO VOTE
This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

Re: Bottom 768 — Week 7 — Poll 26
I would vote for the original original RE based on influence alone, but this is not the original, this is the remake for GCN. Still a good game, but gets zero points for innovation. In contrast, Catherine: Full Body is a really great game, and adds all kinds of new content and even addresses the transphobia present in the original. Unfortunately, this is not the remake, this is the original.
I'm going to have to go with RE for now, but that could change.

I think Full Body was slightly too new when the nominations for this edition of the Project were happening. It launched in September 2019 and the BGE2020 started a couple months later in December. So with Full Body not having its own discrete entry, it wouldn't be unreasonable to say you're including it lumped in with Catherine for voting purposes.
The original PS1 Resident Evil is still alive in the upper bracket, but it has a pretty rough match-up against Secret of Mana in a couple weeks...

Re: Bottom 768 — Week 7 — Poll 26
Resident Evil on the Gamecube is singlehandedly the best remake of a game ever. This was true survival horror. It took the core game and reworked it in a better engine that still looks great two decades later, it improved the hilariously bad voice acting and added entirely new areas, enemies and puzzles that would keep it fresh for veterans of the original.
It's a real shame it was limited to the Gamecube/Wii until the HD remaster in 2015, meaning relatively low sales compared to other entries. This also meant we fans never got a remake or 2 or 3 in the same style, which arguably could have been even more enjoyable than RE2R and especially RE3R. These were great titles, RE2R more so than RE3R, but left behind a lot of great design features and content from the originals.
