I agree with this wholeheartedly.
In fact, one of the reasons I didn't immediately get excited about Kreegs's announcement that College games will be broadcast in Canada was because I'm spoiled by such a good local team—the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL, home to Nathan Mackinnon, Jonathan Drouin, Jakub Voracek, Brad Marchand, and further back, Alex Tanguay and J.S. Giguere.
The quality of the games is excellent. You do see a bit of a divide between the NHL-bound youngsters and the ones who have basically topped out, but it makes for some fast games, with lots of displays of talent and goal-scoring by the former at the expense of the latter.
Enjoy the Hawks game, Ausden! I used to have no choice but to hate them, even though they were such an all-Canadian team, because of their divisional rivalry with the Red Wings, but now that the Wings have moved, I'm allowed to like them again.
