Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!
Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.
Polls are updated weekly, typically on Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!
HOW TO VOTE
This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!
I know Rondo isn’t highly acclaimed around here but just wanted to reiterate that I think it’s the best non-metroidvania Castlevania out there. I didn’t think so before scouring it but it’s truly an incredible game.

Portal balances snappy pacing and story progression with great individual puzzle gameplay and difficulty ramping. Nice and tight, never really sags like its sequel does in parts. Also responsible for a host of "portal mechanics" showing up in other games across genres, for better or worse. Overall I think it holds up better than a remake of an admittedly good NES game.

I still think Portal is one of the best games of all time since it never outstays it's welcome and just is amazing from start to finish. Not many games have done that before.

You may be thinking of Super Castlevania IV, as Rondo is not a remake of any of the first three games. It doesn’t star Simon (or Trevor) and takes place after the events in the NES games from a chronological perspective.
