All Nintendo says is "November." I would like to see it show up on my WiiU this weekend! Being realistic, I can totally picture this coming out the last week of the month after Thanksgiving to hype people up for getting Mario Kart as a Christmas gift on or after Black Friday.

I'd like to think sooner rather than later, but I wonder if they want more time to tease the rest of the new courses.

It seems like they're showing off a new course every week, so I can totally see this being an end of November type of deal.

Honestly wouldn't put it past Nintendo to release it on the same day as Smash Bros.

I think you are on to something there Shoe with the course teasing. I don't want EVERYTHING to be revealed before I get it though! I love seeing the course for the first time in the game!

A new thought - Am I going to have to go back and do all the new tracks on 50,100,150, and mirror again? Will there be new unlockables for completing this? What about completing the time trials? hmmmmmmm

You'll probably have to do that, yes. Time Trials on the new courses are confirmed. Not sure if there will be new unlockables though.

I would think you'd have to do the grand prix courses to unlock the karts and characters that come with the DLC. Unless they just give them to you right away, or worse, by coins :/

I'm more interested to seeing how online will work post DLC. Will there be a DLC specific mode? Can everyone play DLC races online?

I posed that question some time ago. I think it depends on how the online actually works on the back end. Someone who just bought the game and hasn't unlocked anything can still play on Special Cup courses online. I am leaning towards YES for sure with the DLC characters, but only 50% for the courses.

My evidence for this is that anyone can currently use the DLC karts and colored characters online while playing against people that have not purchased it. We experienced this very scenario last weekend during MK league. Merlin was using the Mercedes kart. I have purchased the DLC, but I don't think Kong has. Kong did not have the DLC, but he could see other people using it.

If the courses are housed on Nintendo's side during online play, then I think we can all play them online, but if each online match is "hosted" by one person, I am not as sure.

Aha!!! So maybe my theory has been debunked? But I would think that if one purchases the DLC, he or she can use the racers online. Right?
