The Witcher 3 will have free DLC

The Witcher 3 will have free DLC

CD Projekt Red has announced that 12 pieces of DLC for The Witcher 3 will be free, citing an opposition to the "abusive" practice of paid DLC.

The first few articles of DLC are just small bonuses, like gear and in-game appearance options, the kind you'd usually get for free as pre-order bonuses. The rest of the DLC will be announced later. It remains to be seen whether any of it will be more substantive (new areas, missions, etc.).

It remains a mystery whether any of it will be substantial? This is the company that nearly completely redid The Witcher 1 and retouched tons of stuff up in Witcher 2 while adding new missions and optional new fighting mechanics all for free. This is just in their blood.
