Re: TONe Mario Kart 8 League
I can't wake up that early anyway it's 27 degrees at 2am and I can't sleep. To expect me to wake up in 6 hours isn't gonna happen. Sorry guys. Blame Australia's summer

Just so it is said somewhere, I got 169 on my second set of 12 races vs Trap.

Well I'm always [trap]ped in last place, but I'm fine with it...Kreegs wrote:Just so it is said somewhere, I got 169 on my second set of 12 races vs Trap.
Re: TONe Mario Kart 8 League
One of the reasons I changed the number of races from 8 to 12 was to give everyone a lot of room to make up missed races with other people. So if Shoe missed a bunch of races on Friday night, everyone else would have a handful of extra races to meet up with him and get some more in on Sunday.
Two things:
1. Everyone pretty much finished the full 12 flat-out given the opportunity.
2. We've also recently discovered that folks who have raced their full 12 can come back and play make-up races with others. They're not locked out.
So there's no real reason to have such a high number of buffer races for the league each week. It makes a full set take over an hour with setup and waiting time, and you often end up repeating courses.
I'm thinking of reverting back to 8 races per week starting the first race of the new year. This way we can keep the rules consistent for an entire league season.

Yeah that sounds good to me, I thought the sessions were getting a little long with 12 races. and it'll be easier for others to make up races this way as well.

I am all for going back to 8. 12 does get a bit long! 8 races should allow for some closer finishes too.

I'm also ok with going back to 8 races. The sunday races are already a bit on the late side for me and going through 12 races adds about an hour. Still hope to race on a more convenient time with some of the EU participants on saturday or earlier on sunday, but racing against a bunch will always be more fun.
