The spreadsheet's updated as of last night. The top three positions are within 3 points of one another, with 4th and 5th tied 5 points behind! The crazy tight race will continue until subs come in!
Nashville just waived Derek Roy, which is also going to be the first main roster shakeup of the year (he's among Clay's active players—so he'll either start missing games, or he'll be picked up by another team, which means Clay wouldn't have all Predators anymore!).

Roy cleared waivers, so he'll be playing in the AHL for the foreseeable future.Kong Wen wrote:Nashville just waived Derek Roy, which is also going to be the first main roster shakeup of the year (he's among Clay's active players—so he'll either start missing games, or he'll be picked up by another team, which means Clay wouldn't have all Predators anymore!).
Anaheim has waived Dany Heatley, too. I'd be shocked if anyone picked him up.

Don't forget my subs in two days (or at least ditching Boyle!)Kong Wen wrote:The spreadsheet's updated as of last night. The top three positions are within 3 points of one another, with 4th and 5th tied 5 points behind! The crazy tight race will continue until subs come in!
Re: Hockey Thread! (NHL etc.)
Just a reminder, the deadline to submit substitutions is tonight after the LA/Vancouver game, at midnight Pacific time (4:00 a.m. Atlantic time). That's just under three hours from now. I already have pre-emptive subs from most of you, but I think I still need to hear from Clay, Han, and Vic.
Actually, as long as the subs are in before tomorrow's games start, that should be OK. As soon as tomorrow's games start, the window for New Years substitutions will close.

Re: Hockey Thread! (NHL etc.)
In case I don't get to post before tomorrow, I don't want people to think I'm cheating, my subs will be Wheeler and Filppula in for Hall and Stastny.
Which means I'm counting on Sharp to be able to catch up, and I'm counting on Landeskog to outpace Hall, partly because of the terrible Oilers.
I'd love to be able to get Little and Nyqvist in, too, but it doesn't look like that'll be happening this season.

Re: Hockey Thread! (NHL etc.)
Vanek and Eberle both put up a point each last night the day after I bench them...
I pick those 2 instead of Duchene and MacKinnon so will be interesting to see if it pays off.
Duchene - 22
MacKinnon - 22
Total - 44
Vanek - 23
Eberle - 22
Total - 45

It doesn't get much worse than this. Just plain sad. I feel bad for the family.

Filip Forsberg just set the Nashville franchise record for most points in a season by a rookie. Too bad he's not on my roster!
Edit: Rough, indeed, Kreegs. Terrible.
