Club Nintendo Shutting down

Post by kawaiipikachu »

In case you haven't heard thatClud Nintendo is SHutting down.
More or less means times running out before you lose your points so it's your last chance to redeem your stars for rewards before it's all gone.
Sounds like the Nintendo of America is adding items to help clear the stars while Nintendo of Europe & Nintendo Australia is reducing the prices on the current catalogue.

Looks like it's going to be replaced by a new rewards system & early adopters appear to be getting Flipnote Studio for free.

In case your wondering I manage to spend my most of my remaining stars thou I couldn't quite have enough stars for some of the nicer things.

Here's what I got.
2x Wii Remote stands
Ringtones of Luigi U Pikmin & Wind Waker.
Wallpapers of Yoshi Pikmin 3 & Nintendo family.

Wish I had enouth for things like a deck of playing cards or something just as the saying goes Beggars can't be choosers.

Stretched to the point of no turning back
A flight of fancy on a wind swept field
Standing alone my senses reeled

Read about it last night. Still should have a lot of game surveys to fill in for stars and then see what's to get for them. If I'm correct, there isn't any mention of the Wii Shop channel being closed (as Kurachi was worried about on chat). They couldn't do so as it should stay available to download purchased WiiWare and VC titles.
Anyway, we'll have to wait and see what the new reward system will be.

Oh geez, those game surveys are so boring, and the rewards are so unrewarding, that I don't think I'll even bother. The only reason I used to plough through them was for the Platinum rewards, but they're just downloadable games lately, so even then the motivation isn't there. Bye bye, Club Nintendo!

Time to move onto a better program. The service is on until June, so I'm going to assume (and hope) that we're still getting 2015 Gold and Platinum rewards. I'll save my coins until February to see what they might have.

Hopefully the next service is tied to your NNID.

Oh, is that why it's been hard to sign in recently.

I'm pretty sure Club Nintendo was able to be tied with the NNID as I think I had points for Toki Tori 2.

Well It always been funny for me.

Well hopefully the next Rewards service is much better especially as us Aussies didn't get too many of the Good Rewards.
No Hanafuda cards, no Geme & Watch.

Yeah, that's pretty much why I still have many surveys left to do. But I'll first check what I'll be able to get and only fill in as many surveys as I need to add the required stars. That is, when I'm able to log in.

It could be tied to your account, not necessarily you're NNID. What I'm talking about is signing in with your NNID, not some other account. And when you redeem a digital game it directly downloads to your console without the need of a code.

But yeah Club Nintendo has always been a little wonky for signing in, especially now that everyone's trying to get their coins. I had two 3DSXL pins left over so I should have a decent amount of coins to add.

Well, I have 295 stars, so I guess I'll grab Warioland II for my 3DS. And I'll redeem all my codes just in case they expire with Club Nintendo.
