BGE '15 Hype

I'd like to get the nomination phase started after running two more articles on TONe. The BGE is of course going to be featured on the main site and promoted via social media, so I want it to get the attention it deserves.

You can use this thread to gush about how much you love BGE, complain about how much you hate BGE, drop suggestions for side-events or improvements, etc.

I've got a much leaner list of nominees ready for pronouncement. I feel pretty good about it, though I think only one of them has a chance at advancing anywhere. We'll see.

I'm interested in the nomination scheme you've got planned for this year's edition. I find it hard to escape recency bias whenever I'm asked to name my favorite games ever, so I'll have to really think about this as it gets closer.

It's funny, I find the opposite. I seem to neglect newer titles that have blown me away because they haven't passed the nostalgia barrier that benefit so many of my favourite classic titles.

Yeah, I feel that to an extent. To be clear, I mean newer titles with respect to me. For example, I didn't play Castlevania 1 until Christmas 2012, but I consider it easily one of my favorite games ever now. And I will certainly nominate it, I just want to make sure my nomination list isn't *too* backloaded with stuff I've played more recently. There's definitely stuff I haven't played in 10+ years that is still worthy of such distinction, I'll just have to scrape my memory for it.
