Whoa Dave is definitely still coming to 3DS, Kit. Don't worry about that!

I'm actually obsessing over this game in a pretty major way. The lack of a release date is killing me, and I had a freaking Whoa Dave! dream on the weekend. WANT NOW!!

I wish I had a way to buy it on release day, but might have to wait a couple days. The game is $4.99 (in the US at least; on 3DS).

If I had to guess, a good part of it is the fact that Gaijin is an awful name.

Distant runners-up might be that they wanted to get away from being pigeon-holed as the Bit.Trip developers, that they're a team of cool artsy people and their new name/logo reflect the new kind games they plan to make, etc.

I hope the Vita version keeps that price point.

Has anyone tried playing Whoa Dave! Deluxe? It was a free update for the original game. Adds new characters to play as and new stages as well. I believe the main hook of the mode is that the floor slowly burns away below you as you play. Neat way to get back into the game.
